Elborough Care Services is committed to preventing abuse and neglect of Adults or Children wherever possible, and responding robustly if it is found. All staff are trained in identifying and reporting signs of  abuse or neglect

We will support and empower each adult to make choices, to have control over how they want to live their own lives by taking a Making Safeguarding Personal  approach with all safeguarding concerns.

We are committed to providing safe effective care for all age groups of people from birth through to end of life.  We provide care for children who have learning disabilities, mental health conditions, trauma related work and this transitions into adulthoold and work with vulnerable adults.

The purpose of this policy statement is:

  • to protect children, young people and vulnerable adults who receive Elborough Care services from harm.
  • to provide staff and volunteers, as well as children and young people and their families, with the overarching principles that guide our approach to child protection.

All of our staff undergo relevant safeguarding training pertinent to their role and level of safeguarding responsibilities. Safeguarding is everyone’s business.

We have a proactive approach to safeguarding and work in partnership with Local Area Safeguarding Boards and Local Authority Designated Officers (LADO)

This policy applies to anyone working on behalf of [name of group/organisation], including senior managers and the board of trustees, paid staff, volunteers, sessional workers, agency staff and students.

Legal framework

This policy has been drawn up on the basis of legislation, policy and guidance that seeks to protect children in England.  Please note that Elborough’s Child Protection Policy and Adult Safeguarding Policies are available upon request.

Anti-Slavery Statement & Policy

Elborough Care Services Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery within the business and supply chains. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our dealings and relationships. All staff are made aware of the issues surrounding slavery and human trafficking, and encouraged and supported to report any concerns. If an individual is, or group of people are, in immediate risk of danger or harm, the police will be immediately notified on 999. The staff member must discuss this with their line manager (where appropriate) and Tristana Rodriguez, Safeguarding Lead immediately. The CQC and appropriate Local Authority Safeguarding Adults Team will also be notified. Anyone including members of the public can report to the Modern Day Slavery Helpline on 0800 0121 700 if they have any concerns.
